While putting the finishing touches on my first mix media piece (mounting, signing and backing) I Doodle Painted......as I call it, on the back....... looks kinda neat!! what do you think?

Yet another mix mediaproject in the works

I am using a old highway sign as the backing.......I came across a scrapyard one day while leisurely looking for scrapyards.....and the guy had tons of old signs laying around; because, that's what they do of course is replace the old ones.....therefore he gives them to me now, instead of throwing them away.......How green of him......

First Official Mix-Media Project Complete!!

I had the idea for this piece from looking at models of old pirate ships and boats. it started out as a much larger idea then in the midst of the process, became fused with about three other ideas that were lingering on my mind in the course of past couple of weeks while it was created. I have ideas for three more Similar to this peice all using a similar theme. If everything goes according to plans this peice will be featuring in a show at O'Rileys near the Palladium Ballroom off of Lamar in downtown Dallas on Sunday December 13th....the show will be sponsored in part by Art Love Magic. I used scrap metal, leaves, twigs, glue, string, flowers, and canvas....I would love any feedback......Thanks for reading....check back soon!!
